HFD structural fires 2015-2021 with date and building type (7,014 rows; category: Public safety; geometry column `geom` (Point, EPSG:4326))
Notes: building_type values include '1 or 2 Family', 'Multifamily', 'Commercial'. 7,014 fires total. For "far from a fire station" questions, measure from EACH FIRE to its nearest station with a KNN lateral join (ORDER BY s.geom <-> f.geom LIMIT 1), then average per area. Never measure from a neighborhood centroid: large super neighborhoods (Lake Houston is 91 km2, mostly lake) have centers far from any homes. Rank "many fires" by fires per km2 or per 1,000 residents (explorer.boundary_demographics), not raw counts. Near the city limits the nearest station may not be HFD: see curated.facility_fire_stations_county.
